Expressing Love Through Prayer

One of the purest and most endearing expressions of love is to pray for one another. The act of humbling ourselves before God and interceding in prayer for another is to answer the call to " Love your neighbor as yourself." Imagine, if in your greatest time of need, unbeknown to you, someone, somewhere was praying for God to shine his favor on your situation. How much more urgently will God hear our request when we express our love for our brothers and sisters by praying for them.

Heavenly Father, You are my everything. In good and bad situations, you never leave my side.

Be a lamp at my feet and a light on my path to love. Through Your word and Holy Spirit, guide me.

I lift my heart to You. Strengthen it so that I am capable of giving and receiving love.

Guide me towards godly love, so that I may increase and abound in it.

As I love and as I am loved— may You be glorified.
