A Prayer for Peace

Heavenly Father,

You are faithful and worthy to be praised. You are my rock and my fortress, always within my reach. 

On days when my heart is heavy, I know I can get through to you when I pray. When I call on Your precious name, you hear my cry. 

So I will run to You. Please guide me as I run towards Your living water. There I will find Your peace that surpasses my earthly understanding. There I will find rest in the presence of my Father. You are right where I am. 

Let Your peace be a sign to others that they can overcome whatever they face. They, too, can experience the richness of Your peace when they call on Your matchless name. Help me Jesus; my soul is in your hands. Amen.
